Question:

293 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the number of staff recruited by her Department since taking office; the function and remuneration, including expenses, of each of these staff; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [22912/97]

For the purpose of answering this question I assume the Deputy has in mind the non-established staff appointed personally by the Minister of State at my Department and myself to work in our private and constituency offices. The names, functions and remuneration of these staff are detailed as follows:
