343 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for Education and Science if an application has been received in respect of the provision of repairs to a school (details supplied) in County Cavan; if so, when the application was received; the current progress made with the application; and if he will make a statement on the matter. An application was received by my Department in June 1994 for grant aid towards the cost of remedial works to sanitary facilities at the school to which the Deputy refers. My Department wrote to the school management in October 1994 advising that a grant had been sanctioned. I understand that these works did not take place. If the school management wishes to reactivate the matter, it should write to the planning and building unit of my Department setting out its requirements.
