Question:

363 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Education and Science the number of staff recruited by his Department since taking office; the function and remuneration, including expenses, of each of these staff; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22909/97]

The following non-established staff have been recruited to my Office and the Offices of the Ministers of State. These functions are as indicated by their titles. Travelling and subsistence allowances, where applicable, are payable in accordance with normal civil service regulations:
