Written Answers. - DIT Staff Payments.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

378 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Education and Science the difficulties, if any, there are regarding the payment of moneys due to staff and guest lecturers at the Dublin Institute of Technology Conservatory of Music and Drama in Rathmines, Dublin 6; if so, the similar difficulties in any other part of the Dublin Institute of Technology; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23053/97]

The payment of staff in the Dublin Institute of Technology is a matter for the institute. However, I have made inquiries about the matters in question and I have been assured by the institute authorities that all appointed staff are being paid as appropriate. Some payments have yet to be made but I understand that the issues giving rise to the delay will be resolved this week.
