67 Mr. Durkan asked the Taoiseach the number and identity of all contracts in excess of £300,000 awarded by his office or other bodies under the aegis of his Department from the period 30 June 1997 to date; whether these contracts were awarded by public tender or otherwise; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Taoiseach

A contract for the purchase of 134 computers and associated information technology equipment at a cost of £430,000 was awarded to FTS Computer Sales Ltd. by the Chief State Solicitor's Office, following a public tender process.

No other contracts in excess of £300,000 were awarded by my Department or the bodies under its aegis since 30 June 1997.
