Vol. 485 No. 4

Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Perry — the necessity for additional funding to be made available for Sligo Regional Airport; (2) Deputy Gay Mitchell — the need to co-ordinate an overall response in a comprehensive and sensitive way to the needs of emigrants to Ireland and the needs of the host community to defuse potential racial tensions; (3) Deputy Naughten — the need to review planning regulations for mobile telephone masts; (4) Deputy Neville — the need to provide child care facilities in third level institutions; (5) Deputy Hogan — the need to recognise the enormous deficit in manufacturing jobs in Kilkenny and the action being considered to ensure inward investment for the IDA business park in Kilkenny city; (6) Deputy Jim Higgins — the failure to respond to the request from a French magistrate for information relating to the murder one year ago of French national Sophie Toscan du Plantier; (7) Deputy Bradford — the need to respond favourably to the submission made by the early childhood services parent group, County Cork.

The matters raised by Deputies Hogan, Naughten, Jim Higgins and Bradford have been selected for discussion.
