This Department makes these payments on foot of direction from the Chief State Solicitor's Office when the certification of taxation has issued from the Taxing Master. This Department has no involvement in the receipt, processing or certification of claims which is a function of the Office of the Chief State Solicitor. There is no legal basis for setting a cut-off date in relation to these claims.
