285 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the proposals for legislation being prepared under the auspices of his Department where heads have not been approved to date by Government; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1109/98]

Minister for Foreign Affairs (Mr. Andrews):

There is one Bill under preparation in the Department of Foreign Affairs where heads have not been approved by Government. This is the European Communities (Amendment) Bill. The purpose of this Bill is to make provisions of the Amsterdam Treaty part of domestic law.
