Vol. 486 No. 1

Written Answers. - Travelling Expenses.

John Perry

Question:

555 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if his Department will provide travel vouchers for a person (details supplied) in County Sligo in view of the fact that his daughter is seriously ill in a Dublin hospital, part of her recovery is dependant on constant bedside contact by her family and her father is unemployed and is unable to visit her. [1361/98]

The provision of travel vouchers to eligible persons in County Sligo is a matter for the North Western Health Board in the first instance. I have asked the chief executive officer of the North Western Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
