Vol. 486 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

620 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 will be admitted for a venous scan pending varicose vein surgery in the Adelaide Hospital in view of the fact that she has been on the waiting list for a scan for the past 18 months; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2245/98]

As the provision of treatment to the person concerned is the responsibility of the Adelaide Hospital, I have asked the chief executive officer of the hospital to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
