813 Mr. P. Carey asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the initiatives, if any, he will undertake to bring about some form of unity among the martial arts groups in Ireland; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1305/98]
The Irish Sports Council is currently reviewing arrangements for the martial arts in Ireland and part of this review is, I understand, organising a forum in the National Coaching and Training Centre, Limerick on 5 February 1998 where the relevant sports organisation will have an opportunity to discuss the issues involved. I expect the Irish Sports Council to report to me on its review at an early date.
