817 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation if he will consider added funding to the national volleyball team in view of its qualification for the Small National Championship in Liechtenstein in April 1998. [1747/98]
The application forms for annual funding in 1998 have issued to all national governing bodies of sport, including the Volleyball Association of Ireland. The volleyball association's request for funding for the event in question will be considered on receipt of their application form, and in the context of the overall consideration of such applications from all the governing bodies.
