820 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the full membership of each of the operational programme monitoring committees; and if he will provide a schedule of all the meetings of such committees that have occurred so far and that are planned under the present arrangement for EU Structural Fund expenditure in Ireland. My Department is the lead Department for the operational programme for tourism, the operational programme for local urban and rural development and the operational programme for the urban initiative. The monitoring committees for these programmes normally meet twice yearly in spring and autumn. The last meeting of the tourism committee was held on 6 November 1997. The last meeting of the local urban and rural development committee was held on 23 October 1997 and the last meeting of the URBAN committee was held on 17 October 1997. The dates for the next meetings of the monitoring committees have not yet been set.

The membership of each of the committees includes representatives from a number of different Departments and organisations and are set out as follows:
