887 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will list the primary schools and secondary schools in Dublin 3, 5 and 9 which do not have the service of a remedial teacher at primary level or an ex quota remedial teacher at secondary level; and the number of pupils enrolled in each case. [1616/98]

The following primary schools in Dublin 3, 5 and 9 do not currently have the services of a remedial teacher:

I am at present reviewing provision across the special needs area, including current responses to remedial needs, to ensure that all available resources are deployed as effectively as possible.
I can assure the Deputy that the needs of the schools in the Dublin 3, 5 and 9 areas will be fully considered in the context of any additional allocation of special supports which may be undertaken.
