94 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he has assessed the total housing needs as determined by the various local authorities throughout the country; the way in which he proposes to meet these needs within the lifetime of the present Government and having regard to the likely increase in demand under this heading; and if he will make a statement on the matter. 217 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the extent to which he will meet the needs of those on the local authority approved housing list in 1998; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2724/98]
