262 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if special attention will be paid to individuals at risk (details supplied) in view of previous attacks by loyalists and the recent threats isssued by the LVF. [2992/98]
The Garda authorities have informed me that threats from loyalist paramilitary organisations against persons or property in the State are always viewed very seriously, and whatever action is required is taken commensurate with the level of those threats. Furthermore, the position is regularly reviewed by An Garda Síochána in the light of current information.
