Vol. 486 No. 6

Written Answers. - Court Accommodation.

John Bruton

Question:

297 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the progress being made on the renovations to Trim courthouse; and when all the work will be completed. [3350/98]

Plans for the refurbishment of Trim courthouse have been finalised and consultation with the relevant parties has taken place. However, a technical issue has arisen in relation to the ventilation system for the courthouse which is being examined by the design team at present and it is hoped to have the matter resolved shortly. It is expected that work will commence in April-May of this year.

The Heritage Council has been consulted in relation to the project and an archaeological survey has been carried out on the site.
