Question:

114 Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the evidence, if any, he has to show that the drugs haul at Cahir, County Tipperary, was part of a larger consignment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3182/98]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 56 and 114 together.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the street value of the drugs haul at Cahir, County Tipperary is approximately £450,000. There is no evidence to show that this haul was part of a larger consignment.
