Vol. 487 No. 3

Written Answers. - Flood Relief.

Michael Ring

Question:

171 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Finance if an Office of Public Works official can call to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo to discuss the flooding problem in the area. [3737/98]

The Commissioners of Public Works advise that their resources are fully committed to advancing the schemes on their current priority list of urban flood relief schemes. Consequently they are unable to instigate investigations into flooding problems in the area in question at present. A meeting with the person concerned would serve no useful purpose, therefore, at this time.
