198 Mr. U. Burke asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will provide a mobile dental clinic to serve the national schools in County Galway; the approximate cost of providing this service to the schools; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4072/98]
The provision of dental services to children in national schools in County Galway is the statutory responsibility of the Western Health Board.
The question of whether these services could be effectively provided by the board through a mobile dental clinic is a matter for the health board in the first instance. Accordingly, I have brought the Deputy's suggestion to the attention of the chief executive officer of the board for urgent consideration and reply to the Deputy.
