275 Mr. U. Burke asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when funds will be made available and when work will commence on refurbishment of Loughrea Garda station; the works, if any, there are to be undertaken at this station; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4079/98]

A major refurbishment and extension is proposed for Loughrea. The Office of Public Works are currently preparing plans. It is expected that work will commence on this project later this year.
