306 Mr. Roche asked the Minister for Education and Science when he will give sanction to County Wicklow VEC to acquire a site in Kilcoole, which is owned by Wicklow County Council, for the urgently needed additional second level school for north east Wicklow. [3905/98]
My Department is currently finalising an examination of projected future enrolment for the proposed new post-primary school at Kilcoole, County Wicklow.
Officials from the planning and building unit of my Department have been in contact with County Wicklow VEC. Arising from this, the VEC is investigating a number of issues in relation to the proposed site and when these issues have been resolved my Department will contact the VEC regarding the question of site purchase.
