Question:

323 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will report on the need for resurfacing, extension and updating of the playground at St. Nicholas of Myra national school, Kinsealy, County Dublin. [4040/98]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 321 and 323 together.

The request by the school management at St. Nicholas of Myra national school, Kinsealy for additional accommodation, and other improvement works is currently being assessed by my Department's planning and building unit. This assessment involves an examination of enrolment projections for the school, and an evaluation of the current accommodation. This work is under way and my Department will be in touch with the school management in the matter as quickly as possible.
