Question:266 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Education and Science the position in relation to funding for a school (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5250/98]
Written Answers. - Schools Building Works.
In 1997, grants were sanctioned for a pre-fabricated classroom and improvement works at the school referred to by the Deputy. Most of the work has been completed and the funding paid. The balance remaining to be paid will be forwarded when the work has been certified by the Office of Public Works.
The school has recently been paid in 1998 devolved capital grant and it may use this money to fund further improvements to the buildings, grounds, services and furnishings.
