Business of Dáil.

I wish to make a proposal to the House to change the Order of Business. It is proposed, notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders and the order of the day, that the Statements on Irish Registered Non-Resident Companies shall be taken at 1 p.m. today, shall be brought to a conclusion not later than 4.45 p.m. today and that the following arrangements shall apply. Members shall be called upon in the following sequence and the statements in each case shall not exceed the times indicated — Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment 20 minutes; main spokespersons for Fine Gael, the Labour Party and Democratic Left 15 minutes; main spokesperson for the Green Party ten minutes; Minister for Finance 15 minutes and the statement of each other Member called upon shall not exceed ten minutes in each case. Members may share time. Following the announcement of Matters on the Adjournment under Standing Order 21 the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment shall make a statement not exceeding 15 minutes, following which the Tánaiste shall take questions for a period not exceeding 40 minutes.
