Vol. 488 No. 1

Written Answers - Personal Assistance Service.

Michael Ring

Question:

187 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children if the Western Health Board will provide a carer or personal assistant to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo, who was widowed only seven weeks ago, to assist in the care of her two daughters (details supplied). [5633/98]

The provision of a carer or personal assistant service in the case referred to by the Deputy, is a matter for the relevant health board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board to examine the case and reply directly to the Deputy.
