248 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the status of the application for lottery funding for an organisation (details supplied) in County Limerick; the intentions, if any, he has in regard to this club; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5665/98]

An application from the club was received in my Department in February 1998 and will be considered when grant allocations are being made for the coming year in accordance with the criteria for awarding such grants as set out in the terms and conditions of the sports capital programme.
