Vol. 488 No. 4

Written Answers - Departmental Policy.

Trevor Sargent

Question:

215 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the policy, if any, of his Department in relation to identifying people who answer the telephone in view of the practice of refusing to give names when inquiries are made. [6110/98]

It has been my Department's policy for many years that staff identify themselves to those who get in touch with the Department by telephone.
