240 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the decision, if any, made on the inclusion of photographs on ballot papers for the European elections following his consultations with the Government Supplies Agency; and when he expects a decision to be made. [6419/98]

A decision on the inclusion of candidates' photographs on ballot papers at next year's European Parliament elections will be made when the examination of the technical and other arrangements associated with this matter, which is continuing, has been completed.
