64 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when headage payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6567/98]

Question:

65 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a REP scheme payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; if every effort will be made to ensure that he is eligible for ongoing payments; and if he will clarify the difficulties, if any, there are in this regard. [6568/98]

A second year payment of £1142.23 was issued to this applicant on 25 February 1998.

Ivan Yates

Question:

66 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if special beef premium payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford in view of the special circumstances involved (details supplied); and if this matter will be reviewed. [6569/98]

The year 1996 was the first that the named person advised the Department he participated in a milk recording scheme. He was unable to complete the year due to depopulation and he was given the benefit of having 897 gallons per one livestock unit applied to his 1996 schemes.

For 1997, the herdowner has specified that he is not in a milk recording system and again the value of 897 gallons per one livestock unit has applied to his milk quota. He has been paid on all his special beef premium applications up to the maximum of two livestock units per hectare. There is no provision under the regulations to accept an average yield other than that established under a recognised milk recording scheme, in the absence of same, the national average yield of 897 gallons is applied.

Ivan Yates

Question:

67 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if payments of a suckler cow premium will be made to persons (details supplied) in County Wexford; the reason a penalty or deduction was applied; and if this will be corrected in view of the fact that the area aid form was allocated to the wrong herd number. [6570/98]

The 1997 area aid application of the first person named was incorrectly recorded and consequently his 1997 suckler cow premium grants were limited to payment on 7.5 cows. This has since been rectified and a payment of £743.22 on 5.3 cows issued on 9 March 1998.

John Perry

Question:

68 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if his Department will have the problems on an area aid application for persons (details supplied) in County Mayo resolved so final payments can be released. [6581/98]

Balancing payments will issue to the person concerned within the next week.
