Vol. 488 No. 7

Written Answers. - Ambulance Service.

Róisín Shortall

Question:

211 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will carry out an investigation into an incident (details supplied) that occurred on 30 January 1998 in relation to an ambulance journey from Thurles to Limerick Regional Hospital. [6931/98]

The provision of ambulance services in the Mid-Western Health Board area is the statutory responsibility of the Mid-Western Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this matter and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
