Michael Ring

Question:

218 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will have arrangements made to issue back payment of domiciliary care allowance from September 1992 to April 1997 for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [6986/98]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 216 and 218 together.

The decision to grant a domiciliary care allowance is a matter for the chief executive officer of the relevant health board. Accordingly, I have referred a copy of the Deputy's questions to the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board and asked her to reply directly to the Deputy.
