219 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will have the taxi service reinstated immediately for a person (details supplied) in County Sligo in view of the fact that public transport is not suitable; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7007/98]
The provision of transport for patients in County Sligo is a matter for the North-Western Health Board in the first instance. I have asked the chief executive officer of the North-Western Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
