Question:

120 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Education and Science the number of children waiting placement in St. Patrick's special school, Drumcondra, Dublin 9, and the Central Remedial Clinic special school, Clontarf, Dublin 3; the length of the waiting period; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7586/98]

St. Patrick's national school, Drumcondra, is a mainstream national school with three special classes attached. Two of the classes are for children with special speech and language disorder and one is for children with mild learning difficulty. There is no waiting list in operation for these classes.

The Central Remedial Clinic is a special school for children with physical disabilities which also caters for children with multiple disabilities. There is no waiting list in operation for this school.
