139 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number and name of persons, if any, other than established civil servants, who have had access to departmental files in his Department since July 1997; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7769/98]
The following classes of persons, other than established civil servants, have since July 1997 had access to departmental files in so far as they relate to their particular duties: service officers, ministerial staff, consultants, building officers and legal advisers.
Due to the nature of the work carried out by these persons in the Department I would not consider it proper to release their names.
