Paul Bradford

Question:

140 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the hygiene and general precautions to be observed by officials of his Department when they visit pig farms; and if he has satisfied himself that these precautions are fully complied with. [8214/98]

Officials of my Department visiting pig farms take all necessary precautions to ensure that they do not introduce disease into the farm or from farm to farm. In addition, such officials comply with any in-house requirements required by the farm for the purposes of disease prevention or control.
