Vol. 489 No. 4

Written Answers. - Army Pensions.

Michael Bell

Question:

90 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Defence the reason for the delay in processing the claim for a disability pension for a person (details supplied) in County Louth; and when this claim will be decided. [8334/98]

This application for a disability pension has been referred to the Army Pensions Board, which is the statutory body appointed under the Army Pensions Acts to investigate and report on such applications. When the board has completed its consideration of the case and reported to my Department, the matter will be dealt with promptly and the applicant will be notified of the outcome without delay.
