121 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will make a decision on the route of the M1 motorway from Dublin Airport to north of Lissenhall, Swords, County Dublin, in view of the fact that it is over two years since the public oral hearing. [8513/98]

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that I approved, with modifications, the northern motorway (Airport-Balbriggan by-pass) scheme, 1995 on 30 March 1998. I also approved the proposed road development on environmental grounds, subject to modifications.
