Vol. 489 No. 6

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Willie Penrose

Question:

415 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will have arrangements made for a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath to be admitted for an MRI scan in view of the fact that she is in need of immediate treatment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8795/98]

The provision of medical treatment is the responsibility of Temple Street Children's Hospital in the first instance. I have asked the secretary-manager of Temple Street to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
