Vol. 489 No. 6

Written Answers. - Local Authority Housing.

Question:

538 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when applications for funding under the remedial works scheme from Dublin Corporation will be approved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9498/98]

The 12 housing estates to which Dublin Corporation have given the highest priority have been designated for funding under the remedial works scheme. Over £73 million has been allocated to date to the corporation in respect of these estates, including £7 million this year. The unapproved project to which the local authority have accorded the next highest priority is under examination and a decision will be notified to the corporation as quickly as possible.
