The Department of the Marine and Natural Resources has 40 answering machines dispersed throughout headquarters of the Department, Accounts Branch in Castlebar and some of the regional offices. I am not in a position to estimate the savings involved in each case.
The number of answering machines within the semi-State and State bodies is a matter for the bodies themselves.
