Vol. 490 No. 2

Written Answers - Grant Payments.

John McGuinness

Question:

140 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will consider an appeal made to his Department for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny to have suckler cow scheme grants and beef cow premiums paid to him in view of the fact that the appropriate medical certificate and information has been submitted to his Department supporting the case being made by the applicant; and if he will intervene and deal sympathetically with the case. [9981/98]

The herdowner lodged an appeal on 3 December 1997. Appeals are dealt with in the order in which they are received and require individual examination. This appeal will be dealt with in due course and the herdowner will be notified of the outcome.
