276 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Education and Science the position in relation to the building of the new VEC college on the north side of Drogheda, County Louth; when he intends to sanction it to go to tender; the approximate time schedule for building; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9764/98]
The current situation in relation to the replacement school for St. Laurence's community college is that a site has been purchased at The Twenties, Moneymore, Drogheda and the architectural design of the school has reached Stage 3 — developed sketch scheme of my Department's design team procedures.
The question of proceeding to tender and construction will be considered when all stages of architectural design have been completed.
