81 Mr. Browne (Wexford) asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Wexford is waiting over three years for a heart operation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11466/98]
The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons is the responsibility of St. James' Hospital and I have asked the chief executive officer of the hospital to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
