Vol. 491 No. 1

Ceisteanna — Questions. - Employment Levels.

Gerry Reynolds

Question:

12 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Taoiseach the number of people employed in the public sector, Civil Service, self-employed, employed in multinational companies and in the private sector in each of the years 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 1996 and 1997. [11047/98]

The exact information requested by the Deputy is not available back to 1980, as some of the relevant statistical series were only introduced during the course of the 1980s. I propose to circulate in the Official Report two tables showing the relevant details from 1983 onwards.
