Other Questions. - Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 31 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Lawlor — the unavailability of the domiciliary care allowance to parents of handicapped children until such time as these children attain two years of age and the distress and difficulty encountered by parents as a consequence; (2) Deputy O'Sullivan — the urgent need for legislation to provide for post-adoption information and services; (3) Deputy Neville — the need to implement the recommendations of the National Task Force on Suicide; (4) Deputy Naughten — the need to set up an expert group to investigate possible alternative uses for Christmas trees and make the conclusions available to hard pressed growers at the earliest possible date. (5) Deputy O'Shea — the need to clarify the Minister's reply to Parliamentary Question No. 24 of 12 May 1998 regarding the cost of the proposed regional education boards; (6) Deputy Deenihan — the need to establish a local employment service in Tralee, County Kerry; (7) Deputy McGinley — an fógra inniu go bhfuil deichniúr oibrí i monarcha "Botany Weavers" i gCill Charthaigh ag cailliúint a bpostanna ón gcúigiú Meitheamh 1998; (8) Deputy Shortall — the measures necessary to resolve the situation whereby the crisis in the blood bank has led to a seriously reduced supply of blood for non-emergency services. The matters raised by Deputies Lawlor, Neville, Shortall and O'Shea have been selected for discussion.
