76 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if the plan of action on the rights of people with disabilities has been submitted to Government; if not, when it is expected to be completed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11529/98]

Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. O'Donoghue):

Work on the preparation of the plan of action on the rights of people with disabilities based on the report of the Commission on the Status of People with Disabilities is nearing completion.

When I receive the plan I will forward it to Government for consideration, as soon as possible.
