121 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will give favourable consideration to a request from Kilkenny County Council for a special allocation for the completion of group water schemes. [11710/98]
Under the 1998 rural water programme, the administration of which has been devolved to the local authorities, a block grant allocation of £254,375 was notified to Kilkenny County Council on 18 March 1998. A relatively small amount of unallocated moneys is being considered for distribution among local authorities, including Kilkenny, having regard to the submissions already received from them.
