468 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science the progress, if any, to date on the application for grant assistance towards the cost of providing a bus parking bay outside a national school (details supplied) in County Kilkenny. [11745/98]
The manager of the school referred to by the Deputy applied to my Department for grant assistance towards the cost of providing a bus parking bay at the school.
As the Deputy is aware, the demands for capital funding in the primary sector are considerable. While I am not currently in a position to give a commitment on the funding of this project, I can assure the Deputy that the needs of the school will be considered in the context of future capital allocations.
