117 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will sanction the appointment of a fourth assistant in a school (details supplied) in County Kilkenny for September 1998 in view of the strong case made by the chairman of the board of management dated 10 March 1998 to his Department. [12370/98]
There appears to be some confusion regarding the September 1997 enrolment at the school to which the Deputy refers. An inspector from my Department has been asked to visit the school to confirm the precise enrolment. Following receipt of the inspector's report, a decision regarding the 1998-99 staffing allocation for the school will be made.
